I originally bought these about 2 years ago at Costco for $29, catching my attention for their good looks. For that price I expected them to fall apart soon, but figured that even if they take me through one winter they are worth it. I've been wearing them almost every day since then! They continue to look great, are incredibly comfortable, easy to put on and take off and to tie, provide great support for hiking or just general use, and they still look almost new. They seem warm in the winter and yet comfortably cool in the summer (I know that doesn't really make sense, but they are). Costco no longer carries these, so I recently bought a backup pair through Amazon for when my first ones wear out (if they ever do). Even though the price is higher now, they are still an incredibly good deal for such a good boot.Fit like a glove this is my third pair. Bought first two from Costco for 25dollars but they don't handle that boot anymore but even higher price now it's a good buy.My dogs and I walk to the top of a nearby 2000 foot mountain 2 to 3 times a week with ridge walks on our off days. So far I've worn these boots on eight trips to the top. They fit well, provide good support for my 71 year-old feet and ankles and good traction. They are on a par with the Adidas boots they replaced at about half the price. Adidas boots usually lasted about 150 - 200 trips to the peak before they needed replacing. Time will tell how these rate over timePurchased original pair last year for my husband. He LOVED these shoes because they didn't hurt his toe (curled/raised/always hurting). Loved them so much that he kept from wearing them when he needed the comfort for fear of them looking ratty.I was THRILLED to find the EXACT shoe on Amazon...and at such a great price. He's thrilled he now has a pair he can wear anywhere - improving his comfort. Now he has a spare pair for wearing when he wants to look nice.He was wearing a size 9-9 1/2 wide. Trying these in a size 10M worked out perfectly for his poor worn out retired journeyman millwright feet!A comfortable boot. They have decent treads & keep your feet warm. I sprayed them with water-proofing spray, but the treads are so high, that water doesn't usually reach up to the material part of the boot. I haven't tried them in snow or heavy rain but my feet have stayed dry. I don't know how durable they are yet, but haven't been disappointed so far ( I have been wearing them casually & for light hiking so they heaven't gotten a lot of heavy wear yet.)I purchased these boots for a trip and needed something affordable that would at LEAST get me through the trip. I have to say.. These boots are really great quality for the price, and they completely exceeded expectations. After putting them through two days of winter use in Iceland, they remained warm, comfortable and stayed in great shape. I have arch support issues, and these boots didn't leave my feet in pain at the end of the day. I was extremely happy with what I bought, and I bragged on my great, inexpensive boots on the trip. Now, they're ready for more use close to home!Great boots. Good traction in snow. When worn with wool socks the boots are VERY warm in 10F weather. The ventilation caused by the fabric upper keeps everything dry and hence warm Highly recommend.Worn these hikers several times for long periods since receiving them a couple of weeks ago. Very comfortable so far, lightweight and fit well with plenty of room. Wish they had more color options as I would buy another pair or two in different shades. And at $35 bucks...c'mon, no brainer.
