I don’t dislike the shoes. They seem fine. I was hoping for just a tad bit more comfort, but I guess they’re acceptable.Love these boots. This is my 2nd pair. I have 1 pair for work & the other pair is for recreation.I spend a considerable amount of time on my feet on concrete and hiking on the weekend. I have these shoes, and the boot of these and they're great! They are the only shoes that I haven't had to put insoles in, and they have even helped with some of my back and hip pain.I've been using these sneaker-style hiking boots from LAPG both as everyday shoes and for long walks for several months now. Normally I wear much pricier shoes from New Balance or Rockport because I weigh 250 pounds so the insoles and arch support in cheap shoes wear out very quickly while premium shoes from New Balance and Rockport will last a year or more before they need to be replaced. At $64.99 these are much cheaper than what I would normally wear.So how do they compare? As everyday shoes, these aren't as comfortable but since they're technically hiking boots rather than walking shoes or cross trainers that's probably to be expected. I have been wearing them for several months so they are definitely comfortable enough for everyday use. The upper and insole provide solid support. The rubber sole is very durable and the rand (the part of the shoe between the outsole and upper) still pretty much looks brand new. The suede part of the upper shows does show some minor signs of wear from daily use but not enough to be concerned about. These seem to be very well constructed for shoes at this price point. The sides and innersole are padded which helps to make them comfortable. The innersole isn't as durable as my Rockport or New Balance shoes but those cost twice as much so it's not surprising that the quality is better. At $64.99 the LAPG Terrain is a good value option but you can definitely get something more durable and comfortable if you're willing to spend a lot more money. A good pair of walking shoes from Rockport or New Balance cost around $120 and a pair of boots from Red Wing runs $200 or more. You aren't going to find premium quality for $64.99 but LAPG Terrain does deliver a very good shoe for the price.I got these for my son for Winter ... right now, he prefers summer barefoot or running around in water shoes. These are heavy, thick soled, and sturdySeem well made. They fit really wellHe does tend to walk toes forward, so he didn't like how loose the heals were on his feet. For most, this won't be a problem.I’ve had plenty of shoes in my lifetime including hiking/outdoor shoes. These surprised me due to their comfort level. Many manufacturers put a gel or memory foam platform for your feet to rest on but LAPG took it a step further and added padding to the rear of the heel. One of the major pain points that this company solved was the rubbing & comfort of the back of the heel. The shoes are a tad heavier than I expected but they feel very solid in comparison to others I’ve tried. I really like the color - it reminds me of an olive drab, they call it dark charcoal. The fitment was spot on and I even had a little wiggle room for my toes. If you spend a lot of time on your feet and or outdoors these shoes are worth it without a doubt. I’m very happy and pleased with them overall. Give them a try!I found these to be very well made quality shoes. I found the size to be true. The shoes are very comfortable. I especially like the cushioning in the heels. The shoes are a bit firmer and somewhat heavier than what I am used to wearing (I've been wearing Merrills for several years). Initially I thought this might be a problem but it has turned out to be an asset. The firmness helps with the support. It is especially useful when walking off paved surfaces. These were made for trail walking. They don't feel heavy on my feet. They look good. The tread is somewhat aggressive for my tastes but again, it works. I've used inserts in most of my shoes to help with arch support and find it is not necessary with these shoes. I've been wearing these all day every day for two weeks now. I'll continue to wear them for my everyday activities. Very pleased and highly recommend. These are incredibly comfortable hiking shoes. Made with strong uppers and aggressive tread on the soles, the shoes provide good traction in mixed terrain - and do an excellent job with wet or mud. I like them best, however, because they have the quality of a good set of hiking boots - with the weight of a set of heavy sneakers. They are almost pre-broken in, and you will feel comfortable immediately after putting them on. They are a great value as well. Give these a try.
